CHRISTIAN Christian Brennan, a St. Mary's Catholic Secondary School runner, won three gold medals at the South Regional OFSAA champtionships.ST. CATHARINES A St. Mary's Catholic Secondary School athlete shattered a Canadian interscholastic track and field record Friday.
Christian Brennan raced to three gold medals at the South Regional championships — in the junior girls' 100-, 200- and 400-metre events. Remarkably, her 200m clocking of 23.56 seconds on the Niagara Olympic Club surface bettered the electronically timed mark of 23.58 set in 1998 by Atia Weeks of Crescent Heights High School in Calgary.
The smooth-running Crusaders' performance stunned even her St. Mary's coach, Steve Scime.
